Gavin Cassidy is a senior data science major at St. Lawrence University. Born in Concord, Massachusetts, Gavin grew up on the campus of Middlesex School where both his parents worked. Growing up with his parents working at the school, Gavin roamed the fields and woods around campus, playing many sports and growing a love for the outdoors. At Middlsex Gavin ran Cross-Country, played Hockey, Squash, Golf, and Crew. He also started the schools disc golf club during the Covid-19 pandemic as an activity that could easily allow social distancing. At St. Lawrence Gavin continues his love of sports and the outdoors, staying involved in hiking, golf, and disc golf, and serving as a Captain on the St. Lawrence Men's Squash team. Gavin also serves as the Student Assistant Director at St. Lawrence's Peterson Quantitative Resource Center, tutoring Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Biology, and other subjects. Gavin is passionate about both teaching and coaching, and thoroughly enjoys tutoring at the QRC. He is also as Sports and Exercise Science Minor at SLU, and hopes to use the knowledge from the minor to help with coaching one day.
